Bill Angeloni
Co-Founder and Director
Bill Angeloni has spent his career helping clients around the world drive value within their operations and across the supply chain and has long been recognized as a leader in the aerospace and defense industry.
Bill was most recently the President and CEO of Exostar LLC, a joint venture between aerospace giants BAE Systems, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Rolls-Royce. There he led the development of a business strategy focused on software-as-a-service security and supply chain solutions. Under his leadership, Exostar doubled its revenues in three years, achieved profitability for the first time, and grew its supplier network to over 40,000 companies in 24 countries. As a result, Exostar was recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies in North America by Deloitte and Touche, one of the forty technology companies to watch by Manufacturing Business Technology, and one of the Future 50 by SmartCEO magazine. His industry leadership was also recognized when he was elected to the Board of Governors for the Aerospace Industries Association.
Prior to founding Tenzing, Bill was an executive at FreeMarkets that pioneered the "e-auction" that revolutionized 21st century procurement. He opened the European office and subsequently ran the Aerospace and Defense business unit. His contributions were instrumental in growing the business from $3 million in1998 to $200 million in 2001 clearly establishing it as the leading global business-to-business e-marketplace. FreeMarkets was acquired by Ariba in 2004.
Bill has served in various roles consulting with AT Kearney, The Canaan Group Ltd. (a Booz Allen spin off), United Airlines, and the United States Navy.
Bill holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, and an MBA in Finance and International Business from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management. He is a private pilot and devoted skier and currently resides in Sonoma, California.
