Jim Kennelly
Manager
Jim is a consultant and engagement leader with Tenzing Consulting. As a business leader, he has worked directly with senior executives to help solve problems in supply chain, finance, and operations. His experience spans various industries including manufacturing, services, and high tech. Jim's professional experience in consulting, finance, program management and business development also bring a valuable set of skills to help Tenzing's clients.
At Tenzing Consulting, Jim recently played a significant leadership role at Masonite Corporation. Working extensively with Masonite's CPO and CFO, Jim created a comprehensive methodology and process to forecast the savings associated with the initiative. In addition, he led the sourcing of Masonite's MRO spend, which is delivering over $2 million in annual cost reduction savings from standardization, contract compliance, extended payment terms, and improved pricing.
Prior to joining Tenzing, Jim was Director of Client Services at Resources Global Professionals, a publicly traded professional services firm. Jim was responsible for management of key accounts, project oversight, and business development.
Jim spent over five years in roles of increasing management responsibility at FreeMarkets/Ariba, a publicly traded global supply chain consulting and software company. Jim's responsibilities included global account management of strategic accounts such as Hewlett-Packard, Advanced Micro Devices, Micron, and Adelphia. At FreeMarkets/Ariba, Jim helped clients such as Adelphia save $24 million and Advanced Micro Devices save $19 million via strategic sourcing engagements in both direct material and indirect categories. Jim was also a finance manager at FreeMarkets prior to joining the market making and account management teams.
Prior to FreeMarkets, Jim spent five years at Avery Dennison Corporation, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of labels and office products. Jim's role was as Division Finance Manager for the Systems and Healthcare Division where he led financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis for an $80M division.
He has earned an MBA, CPA and Six Sigma Greenbelt certification. Jim currently resides in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
